Every person needs to slip a little extra energy into their system every once in a while to survive the day. Some of us opt for a cup of coffee (maybe several cups of coffee). Some of us decide to go with a cup of tea. Others of us try to keep things more natural, taking supplements that have vitamins in them, or aiming to eat healthy foods. But sometimes, hate them though we might, we feel like an energy drink is just the right thing to hit the spot! The only issue is, we don’t really know what is in such drinks, nor do we know what makes them work. Are they all right for our body? Do they actually work? And if they do work, how do they work?

Redbull is one of the most popular energy drinks in the world, and unless you are a regular energy drink consumer, the name recognition that Redbull provides means that you are likely to go with this option if you ever decide you need the boost an energy drink provides. Maybe you know that Redbull is banned in Denmark, France, and Norway. No one would blame you if this makes you nervous!

Actually, Redbull in banned in these countries because the drink contains taurine. While taurine is made by the body naturally, there has been some debate as to the advisability of adding extra taurine to the body. Taurine helps to generate nerve impulses by moving such minerals as sodium, calcium, potassium, and magnesium throughout the cells in your body. This is one of the reasons why Redbull helps to keep you awake.

But actually, the glucose content of Redbull should concern you more than the taurine in the drink. Of course, glucose is sugar; because the drink contains sugar, it leaves you with that “sugar crash” you would prefer to avoid.

Additionally, Redbull contains a handful of vitamins, as well as a small amount of caffeine. A great alternative to regular redbull is sugar-free Redbull. This drink tastes similar to regular Redbull, but you can avoid those sugar crashes. Other than this one problem, Redbull is fine to drink, and it can be very good for keeping you awake.
